Job Description

Directs and performs all activities related to the recruitment of Dental Service Organizations (DSO’s), dental groups and individual dentists into the Dental Select Network via telephone, mail, and electronic outreach. Responsible for administrative functions including using a complete knowledge of the organization’s plans, products, and services to secure in – network provider contracts; coordinating implementation of Network onboarding, and continuous service to contracted providers. Works with Provider Relations team to coordinate, develop, monitor, and manage dental provider recruitments, fee schedules, and other special projects under the supervision of the Supervisor, Provider Relations.



Summary: This position is to help manage IT database resources, including technology and integrated applications, to deliver high availability of Information Technology database systems. Ensure business continuity by validating/testing disaster recovery and contingency plans of all IT database related systems. Employee is to develop and implement appropriate business and technical solutions that are aligned with Dental Select’s business and technical objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Proactively manage IT database systems to deliver high availability
  • Secure the IT database environment according to the IT departments security policies and guidelines
  • Ensure the database environment meets the disaster recovery and business continuity requirements
  • Deliver assigned projects and task son time and within compliance of Dental Selects policies and guidelines
  • Develop processes to facilitate the flow and information through the IT database environment as well as to and from internal business customers
  • Control access permissions and privileges
  • Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans
  • Maintain high availability SQL Clusters and Nodes
  • Install and configure new SQL instances
  • Identify and collaborate with business units. Identify opportunities for operational and business performance improvements and recommend solutions that support business and department goals.
  • Identify appropriate opportunities that are aligned with Dental Select’s strategic/business plan initiatives to promote administrative efficiencies, process improvements and customer driven enhancements.
  • Implement and maintain an effective communication and coordination process to enhance the overall working relationship with customers and other Dental Select departments. Establish and maintain a mutually beneficial and productive relationship internally, with other Dental Select departments and with other companies, vendors and professional associations. Inform others, as appropriate, of problems, issues, concerns or developments that arise from department or business activities, or the use of technology.


  • BS/MS degree in business administration, computer programming, software design, information technology, marketing, or other related field plus a minimum 5 years of experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience as well as familiarity and experience with various development methodologies and project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft server 2012-2016 environments
  • Extensive support experience with Microsoft SQL server 2005 to 2016 and back office applications, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft clustering technology.,reporting service, integration service, and T-SQL.
  • Expert experience crating SSIS packages
  • Understanding and experience with Database design and practices
  • Analyze and design Database using data modeling software
  • Expert in using SQL Profiler
  • Proven experience in supporting a mission critical database technology environment
  • Understanding and experience with Database Architecture and Design Methodologies
  • Database Analysis and Design using Data Modeling Software
